Your responsibilities will include

Assisting in the classroom on a pre-arranged, rotational basis (once or twice a month), and bringing a nutritious snack to share with the children on your duty day (we can give you suggestion and let you know about food allergies.)

    • Attending orientation sessions with other parents and the ECE (parents must complete 10 hours of orientation prior to assisting in the classroom. Your observation hours are included.)
    • Attending monthly parent education meetings at the preschool usually held on the third Monday of the month, lasting an hour. This will be combined with a general business meeting, which involves all duty parents lasting approximately 2 ½ hours.  The general meetings and the executive meetings (which are 2 ½ hours) will alternate monthly.
    • Paying the registration fee, a fundraising deposit of _____ (returned to you in June if you have participated in our fundraising initiatives) and monthly tuition fees for you child.  An insurance fee of $100.00 is also payable in Sept or in increments throughout the year
    • Participating in fundraising to help keep our fees as low as possible.
    • Participating in two clean- ups at the preschool, one held in the fall and one at the end of the school year.
    • Taking on a position from the list of jobs within the preschool. There is a job to meet every member’s schedule and interest! 
    • Newly enrolled families are required to attend the AGM to vote in executive and non-executive positions for the upcoming school year.
