Job Posting - Sooke Preschool Early Childhood Educator (ECE)
Sooke Preschool has an opening in September 2012 for an early childhood educator (ECE) for a parent participation preschool program that currently runs 3 days per week (6 sessions or 24 hours) with the potential of 5 days per week (8 sessions or 32 hours).
We welcome applications from ECEs who are licensed in BC and meet the following criteria:
ECE post-secondary credential plus minimum two years of related experience working with children
Ability to work closely with parents to guide them both as assistants in the classroom and in their co-operative positions
Ability to work diplomatically with people at multiple levels, i.e., with children, parents, executive board, landlord, other ECEs, VICPA
We are looking for a dedicated person who can nurture our children, inspire our families, and become part of our community. Experience in a co-operative or non-profit environment is an asset.

WELCOME FAMILIES!
We've begun another year filled with fun, field trips and friends.
Our next preschool meeting is Monday, January 9th. The potluck starts at 6:00 PM, parent education at 6:30 PM, general announcements at 7:30 PM, and the executive meeting at 8:00 PM.
The parent education session will be a discussion around how to raise multilingal kids.
About Us
Sooke Preschool was founded in 1975 as a cooperative, non-profit preschool. In April 2004 we relocated to the Sooke Child, Youth and Family Center. We are licensed through the Provincial Child Care Facilities Licensing Board. Sooke Preschool is a member of the Vancouver Island Cooperative Association (VICPA) and the Sooke Cooperative Association of Service Agencies (CASA).
We are delighted to have Angie Gamache as our wonderful Early Childhood Educator (ECE)! Angie has her diploma in Early Childhood Education and 19 years experience.
